How to learn foreign languages

1. You should speak with the person hours and hours who is much better than you in that language.
2. Doesn't matter if you are good at studying, it will be better and  you’re going to be far more invested and motivated to communicate with a live person in front of you than a book or audio program on your computer.
3. That language is something that needs to be processed, not memorized.  Memorizing a word in a book or with flashcards 100 times does not stick the same way being forced to use a word in conversation.
4. There are 2 problems with group calsses when you learn foreign language. The first is that the class moves at the pace of its slowest student. The second one is everyone has a different learning that's why example in the class everyone naturally learns some words or topics easier than others, so therefore a class is not going to be able to address each student’s personal needs.
5. Start with the 100 common words, some words gives you a better return on investment than others.
6. Carry a pocket dictionary!
7. When you are alone try to make a fake conversation in your head, or kind of like that.
8. Figure out pronunciation patterns.
9. Most people are helpful, let them help, when you go to another country you can try go to a store, buy something, ask random people for help. Point to something and ask how to say it. Ask them questions. Most people are friendly and willing to help you out. Learning a language is not for shy people!
10. TV shows, movies, newspapers and magazines are a good supplementation. You can read or listen to that language to develope your knowledge.
