The Starry Night

The artist Vincent van Gogh one of  his famous paiting is The Starry Night, he finished this beautiful oil cloudscape in 1889, France. The style or the way he painted is called post-impressionism, today we can find it in New York, USA at Museum of Modern Art
. As you can see in the paiting the artist painted a quiet village in the middle of the night,  death was not ominous for van Gogh. This idea he got when he asked himself  "Looking at the starts always makes me dream. Why, i ask myself , shouldn't the shining dots of the sky be as accessible as the black dots on the map of France? Just as we take the train to get to Tarascon or Rouen, we take death to reach a star."
He also wrote about his experience to his brother, Theo, he said "This moring i saw the country from  my window a long time before sunrise, with nothing but the morning star, which looked very big."
The truth in this, the creation show the restive feeling to viewers because of the bright colors. What do you think about this paiting when you look at that at the first time/your reaction? (If you would like to answer my question, write a comment)
